Ella and Kay Kay Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children unleash their inner storyteller and embrace their creative expression. Established in 2023 and located in the heart of Minnesota, our mission is to provide children with emotional, logistical, and financial support as well as mentorship and encouragement on their pathway to becoming successful published writers.

We offer a range of services designed to help children discover their voice, express themselves, and make an impact in the world. Here are some of the supports we provide to help young people achieve their writing goals:

Writing Resources

We provide access to valuable writing resources such as books, articles, blogs, workshops, tutorials, webinars, and more that can help young writers improve their skillset.

Mentorship Programs

Through our mentorship program, we match up established authors with aspiring young writers who need guidance on how to take their writing skills to the next level. Our mentors are committed to helping students reach their full potential as authors by providing them with one-on-one guidance, advice, and support.

Creative Workshops

We host creative writing workshops that focus on sparking creativity and providing young people with the opportunity to hone their craft. Workshops are taught by experienced authors and mentors affiliated with our foundation.

How to Support Our Work

Help children with the emotional, logistical, and financial support they need to become successful writers.

Through donations or sponsorships, individuals can give directly and have a direct impact on the lives of these children by providing them with access to resources that will help them foster their creative expression. Industry professionals can donate their time and expertise by becoming mentors for these children and offering advice on writing techniques as well as helping to promote their work to gain greater exposure.

Businesses can provide monetary or material support by donating funds or products that will be used to help fund programs and activities for these children. Additionally, businesses may wish to sponsor events that have been organized by the foundation such as writing seminars, book signings, or publishing consultations.

This sponsorship would not only financially benefit the foundation, but it would also give businesses the opportunity to demonstrate their dedication to social responsibility and make a positive impact on the community.
