We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children to become successful published writers. Located in the heart of Minnesota, our mission is to provide emotional, logistical and financial support, as well as mentorship and encouragement for young authors around the world.
Founded in 2023 by book publisher Charday Williams, Ella and Kay Kay Foundation has been passionately working towards raising and supporting the voices of children from all walks of life. Both Ari Ella, a published author at just 10 years old, and her mom Charday, a widely successful book publisher and dedicated child advocate, have made it their dream to create a place where kids can write, share stories, express themselves through writing, and benefit from generous donations, community support, and corporate sponsorship.
At Ella and Kay Kay Foundation we believe that every child has something amazing inside them that needs to be heard—and that unlocking their inner storyteller is one of the most powerful ways they can make an impact on their own lives. That’s why we strive to make sure every child who reaches out to us gets the assistance they need in expressing themselves creatively while being connected with resources they need to foster their creative expression.
Furthering our support system for aspiring writers is our charitable giving program which grants financial aid towards educational expenses such as tuition fees or books; sponsorships for events like writing competitions or conferences etc.; or providing access to technology tools needed for writing projects.
